Garage and walkout slabs

Thom finished off his concrete work today, with the walkout and garage slabs being last on his to-do list. 

Concrete slab

The concrete slab in the basement is steaming as it cures.  The walkout, although a big pain during excavation and foundation, really makes managing the helicopter for finishing the concrete very easy.

Inspection Passed

Mohammad was in today to watch Tony and Rui perform the ball tests for the various plumbing stacks in the basement, as well as to review the overall layout.  Passed!  Now we can start prepping the basement for concrete.

Forming and shoveling

Tom and Chris formed the stairs today, while I managed not to slip on the deck tarp while shoveling...impressive!

Tom poured the porches today in blistery conditions!

Thom had his cold weather gear on as we worked most of the day yesterday and today trying to form up the various concrete components of the build:  front porch, suspended slab back porch, walkout steps and garage.
